At the Lisbon National Conservatory where I teach contrabass now, I reencountered David Murray, who was my contrabass teacher at West Texas A & M University (TX) and Butler University (IN) twelve years ago.

It was a great pleasure to organize this Master Class and Recital. For this matter, I decided to write these words to express my gratitude to David, for his friendship, presence, music, and for everything he taught me. I thank the Lisbon Conservatory board of directors, the production team, and professor Nuno Barroso for all support given. I thank my students and all who attended the Master Class, and Recital, for their presence and enthusiasm.
